South East European Teachers' Association

SEETA announces the launching of its website, http://community.britishcouncil.org/seeta/, a Moodle platform aimed at bringing together EFL teachers in the region.

While you are browsing the SEETA moodle platform, make sure you do not miss:

  • the teachers' resource bank, including articles, a great list of links to useful relevant sites, materials from past events, etc.;
  • the pages with information on the English teachers' associations in the region;
  • our calendar of upcoming events, such as conferences and conventions;
  • our forum, enabling you to share thoughts with teachers from as far as Turkey and Poland.

Given that the project has only just begun, it may be good to remember to log on to the SEETA website in the future for updates and further opportunities.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE for the SEETA OPEN FORUM

1. Go to website: http://www.seeta.eu and then go to log in, at the bottom of the page.
2. Go to column Is this your first time here?, read the instructions and create a new account.
3. Select a username and password that will be easy for you to remember (and write them down
somewhere), type your personal details and click on "create my new account".
4. You will automatically receive a confirmation e-mail from the system at the e-mail address you gave. This usually takes only a few minutes. The title of the e-mail will be The SEETA Community: account
confirmation. Please check your spam/junk mail because it may end up there.
5. Open the e-mail and follow the instructions in order to confirm your account; you will click on the link in
the e-mail.
6. When you click on the link your web browser will display the SEETA Open Forum page and you will be
logged in. On the left hand side of the page at the top you will see a section entitled Administration. There are two things you should do.
7. The first is to enroll. This ensures that you receive e-mail from the Teachers Forum "there are not many of these "mainly announcements of upcoming events on the SEETA website.
8. You should also fill in your profile; this makes the discussion a bit more real as it helps make discussions a little less anonymous.
9. Now scroll down the page; about halfway down you will find information and a link to the current fielded
discussion. Click on the link to visit the page. Once again, you will need to enroll – this is necessary to
take part in discussions, etc. You can unenrol at any time by simply clicking a link.
