Maybe you work in a town school. In my school is very, very cold, smoke...but we have to do our job "by the book".
I work in the countryside where almost nobody is interested in English... the books are very bad(editura All) and the parents:"Ei, doamna, mai lasati-i cu engleza.."

Hello All,
My name is David Banville and I am a US Fulbright Grantee to Romania for the 2008-09 academic year (I will be in Iasi until approximately 20 June).  I am based in the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences at AI Cuza University in Iasi, and my research focuses on a lot of rural education-related topic areas.

After a very nice trip to a few rural schools in Pitesti, I began to think of several questions that arose in my mind related to English teachers' professional development, especially in rural areas.  So, if you are in a rural area, I would love to perhaps email you or come to visit your cl.  I'm really interested in hearing from you - your experiences, positive aspects, challenges, etc.. that sort of thing.  I hope to hear from as many of you as possible! La multi ani, David.

Indonesia is one of the most beautiful, fascinating and culturally absorbing nations in the world.
